Celia Schlekewey
Celia Schlekewey is an associate in the firm’s executive compensation practice.
Celia Schlekewey’s practice includes the compensation and employee benefits aspects of mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions, as well as advising companies and executives on the negotiation and implementation of employment, consulting, and separation arrangements. Celia provides expertise on complex tax issues, including those arising under Sections 280G and 409A of the Internal Revenue Code, and assists clients in designing, implementing, and administering short- and long-term cash and equity incentive plans and arrangements, such as profits interest plans, restricted stock units, and transaction bonuses.
Celia Schlekewey received her J.D. from the University of California – Los Angeles School of Law and her B.A. in Psychology, magna cum laude, from the University of Washington. While in law school, Celia served as the Chief Articles Editor for the Entertainment Law Review and as a Student Practitioner in the UCLA Documentary Film Legal Clinic. Prior to joining Bowen Tax Law, Celia was an Associate in the Los Angeles office of Proskauer Rose LLP, where she was a member of the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation and Tax groups.
In her free time, Celia enjoys going to her local movie theater, hiking, and making pottery.
